Who We Are

Who We Are

Immanuel Old Church Service

Some people might say that we're "just a little country church." But when you look at all we do, we're more like "the little country church that could."

Located in historic Old Church, just minutes from the center of Mechanicsville, Immanuel is a welcoming community of energetic, creative and inquiring people from all walks of life. Some members have had family ties to the church for several generations and many others are new to the area. If you are looking for a church home or would just like to visit, we hope you'll join us. Everyone is welcome!

As we grow, we want to build on this momentum and channel our strengths and resources so that we can be even more effective at doing God's work.

Throughout the year, we are involved in a variety of local and international outreach programs, but we are perhaps best known for The Cherub School, our preschool ministry, The Garden of Grace, our community garden, and for Music in the Old Church, an increasingly popular music program offered at various locations throughout the Richmond area during the fall.

We invite you to join us for worship, joyful music and fellowship. Sunday service with Holy Eucharist is offered at 10 a.m. each Sunday in our historic church building, constructed in 1853. Please join us! Click here for what to expect.

To help guide our future efforts, we recently completed a re-visioning process to define our mission, vision and priorities for the upcoming year.

Our Vision

Celebrating God's loving presence in historic Old Church.
