Our Parish Administrator, Britton Trimble, is a native of Gloucester County, Virginia. She's lived in Old Church and been a member of Immanuel since 2002. She received an A.B. from the College of William and Mary in 1988, and an M.B.A from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1993. Previous workplaces include: Tompkins-McCaw Library at MCV-VCU, University of RIchmond's Boatwright Library, and her husband Jim's environmental consulting firm. Britton began working at Immanuel in 2012.
She grew up attending Bellamy United Methodist Church. Fun fact: Britton was not baptized or confirmed in a church! She was baptized and confirmed at age 15 while attending Bethany United Methodist. However, a fire had just destroyed the church, and the congregation was meeting in a school. Britton grew to love the Episcopal Church during her time at William and Mary, and expanded her love and knowlege of Anglican choral music while singing in the William and Mary Choir. She was receved into the Episcopal Church in 1993 while a member of St. James the Less, Ashland.
Britton and her husband Jim, who were married in 1991, are owned by three cats. Britton sings in Immanuel's choir, has served on Immanuel's Vestry, is the assistant treasurer, and serves on the budget and stewardship committees.
Seselia "Bunny" Coles keep us straight! She takes care to keep the the church and the parish house buildings tidy. Bunny is a long-time Old Church resident. She is an active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and an alto in their choir.
