Wednesday Wireless - Immanuel's Weekly News Update
Blessing of the Animals
Join us in church at 10:00 AM on Sunday, October 1 for our regular worship service with the blessing of the animals. Both Godly Play and nursery will take a break on October 1 so that all children can be in church. Bring your animals too!
Immanuel's Celebration of New Ministry
On Tuesday, October 3, at 6pm, we will gather for a special worship service with Bishop Ted Gulick to celebrate the work and ministry of our Immanuel church family. A reception will follow in the Parish House. Please join us!
After a long summer break, Adult formation will resume on this coming Sunday, September 24. We will gather in the library following refreshments to continue our study of Matthew. Our focus in this class comes from the work of N.T. Wright, a prominent New Testament theologian. "Tom" Wright emphasizes Jesus as Messiah and Teacher and proposes that His life announced the Kingdom of God on earth. Please join us even if you weren't able to come last year. No preparation is required. For information contact Joan Beal.
Adult Christian Education has a new name at Immanuel: Adult Formation. Engaging the Word in community is one of the ways that we can deepen our spiritual lives and be formed for ministry.
