Wednesday Wireless - Immanuel's Weekly News Update
Parish House Renovation Project
Please join us after worship on Sunday, March 4 in the Parish House to hear a presentation on the Parish House Renovation Project. We are hoping for full participation in the project. If you would like to contribute, please make a check payable to Immanuel Episcopal Church with "PH Renovation Project" in the memo. We call your attention to the Letter from the Rector sent separately this morning for further details about the project.
Please arrive early to church on Sunday, March 4 to experience a special prelude offered by members of Jefferson Baroque. With vocalists and instrumentalists, their music promises to be another opportunity for intentional prayer and reflection during Lent.
Quiet Prayer During Lent
Mark your calendars for this Lenten season's Quiet Prayer Group from 7:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. on six Tuesdays held in Immanuel's sanctuary. Each session includes a period of comfortable silence to listen to whatever the Spirit reveals. This ancient prayer practice is reported throughout the Bible, and in the writings of many disciples and saints. This year's theme focuses on gratitude, which was requested by previous participants. Come as you are. No experience necessary. Questions? E-mail Betty Booker Morriss at firstname.lastname@example.org or call/text her cell at (804) 397-9155.
Bible Study During Lent
On Thursday mornings at 7:45 AM we will gather at Cold Harbor Restaurant in Mechanicsville for fellowship and Bible study. Come once or come as often as you can during Lent. Please speak with the Rev. Chris Miller or David Jennings if you have questions.

Join us in the Parish House on Friday, March 2 for a Fish Fry. $15 for adults and $3 for children under the age of 12. Enjoy all you can eat fried fish, corn bread, salad, and brownies!
Lawn Care Team
On Sunday, March 11 after church, anyone interested in participating in our lawn care team is encouraged to join us for a planning meeting. Participating in the maintenance of the wonderful grounds of Immanuel is one of many ways to serve our community. Please speak with Pat Cowling, Junior Warden, if you have any questions.

Shrine Mont Parish Retreat
Our annual Shrine Mont Parish Retreat is scheduled for Friday, May 18 to Sunday, May 20. The theme for our retreat is Shrine Mont 101. We will have time to relax, time to pray, and time to come to know Shrine Mont better. Estimated costs are $100 per person per night for a single and $76 per person per night for a double. Children 3 and under are free and children 4-12 are $30 per child per night. Please email Britton Trimble at email@example.com to reserve your spot. Godly Play meets on the first, third, and fifth Sundays of each month. It is a curriculum designed to help children explore faith through stories. Godly Play is open to 3 year olds up to 5th graders.
We have a nursery available every Sunday during our 10 AM service. The nursery is located inside the Parish House building, next to the church.
Have you ever thought about joining the choir? If so, now is the perfect time! The choir is currently rehearsing at 9:15 AM on Sunday mornings right before worship. You don't need to commit beyond one Sunday at a time. Show up, get a choir robe, and have fun with fellow choir members. If you have any questions, just ask one of the choir members in the blue and white robes after church.
Thanks for your continued support of CornerStone's food pantry! February's suggestions are meat stew, vegetables, and soup.
