Wednesday Wireless - Immanuel's Weekly News Update

Parish Picnic at Whitehall

Mark your calendars for our annual parish picnic at Whitehall on Sunday, September 17! After our regular Sunday service of Holy Eucharist at 10:00 AM we will travel to Whitehall in Walkerton (approx. 30 minutes from Immanuel) for food, fellowship, and fun on the water. Chicken will be provided. Please bring a side or dessert and contact Boo Elmore at patchocotton@aol.com with any questions about the picnic.

Immanuel's Celebration of New Ministry

On Tuesday, October 3, at 6pm, we will gather for a special worship service with Bishop Ted Gulick to celebrate the work and ministry of our Immanuel church family. A reception will follow in the Parish House. Please join us!

Habitat Needs You!

Hanover Habitat is looking for volunteers to help finish their 62nd home on Beatties Mill. They want to help the Hetrick family get in their home before school starts, and in order to do that, they need your help!

They need volunteers through the end of August, specifically on Fridays and Saturdays. They'd love to have groups or individuals join them!  They look for 8 individuals each work day, and start at 8:30 a.m. and end by 3:30 p.m.!

You can check out their online calendar to see what days are open and work with your schedule.  Email them now to sign up!

CornerStone

There are many families out there who need food, and CornerStone Food Bank folks work hard to help as many as possible! Your donations go a long way towards helping those in need. August's suggested items are canned meats and beans.

Parish Office Hours

Regular Parish Office hours are Mondays-Thursdays, 9am-4pm with a 1pm-2pm lunch break. The office will be closed on August 24.
